Heat Pump Types & Installations

At Bonair, we design, install, commission and maintain expertly engineered heat pump systems providing domestic hot water and heating.

The type of systems include:

Monoblock
All in one heat pump unit to be mounted outdoors requiring flow and return water and electrical power connections only.

Hydro-Split
Similar to the Monoblock except with an indoor section containing an electric back-up heater and controls.

Refrigerant-Split
Condensing only outdoor unit, with refrigeration pipework connecting to the indoor unit. No water pipes outside the property allowing installation some distance away.

Hybrid / Bivalent Heat Pump Systems
Using gas boilers for backup and boost heating. This is similar to the refrigerant split. Also similar to the Monoblock except with an indoor section containing an electric back-up heater and controls. Together with an added gas boiler for backup and boosted heating.

Solar Thermal
A system designed to produce added free solar hot water generation using a thermal solar panel.
